Nestled within the cultural and sporting epicentre of the city, and well-linked to transport, CENTREPIECE is easy to reach by car, tram or train. 

Situated on the edge of the CBD, CENTREPIECE is close to all the action Melbourne has to offer, but far enough from the hustle and bustle to be comparatively quiet and accessible.

Parking

Guests attending the precinct can access the Eastern Plaza Car Park via Entrance D (Olympic Boulevard).  

We strongly recommend pre-booking your parking. Bookings close at midnight the night before the event. Drive-up spaces are limited and subject to availability.

  • Non-Event Day Parking: $7.50

If parking is sold out or unavailable, a number of private operators are located in close proximity to the precinct.

Limited on-street parking is available via the Botanical Gardens along the Yarra River. 

Accessible Parking

CENTREPIECE aims to offer an equitable and accessible experience for all guests, however, it should be noted that there are a limited number of accessible parking bays located at the venue and these spaces should be booked in advance.

Public Transport

Train

CENTREPIECE is well connected by train. The following stations are within walking distance: 

  • 7 minutes from Jolimont Station (7-minute walk to the venue) 
  • 10 minutes from Flinders Street Station (10-minute walk to the venue) 
  • 10 minutes from Richmond Station (10-minute walk to the venue)

Tram

CENTREPIECE is easily reached by tram. The following routes are within walking distance: 

  • Route 70, stop 7B Rod Laver Arena (2-minute walk to the venue)  
  • Route 75, stop 11 Jolimont Station (7-minute walk to the venue)  
  • Route 48, stop 11 Jolimont Station (7-minute walk to the venue)  

These routes connect to Jolimont, Flinders Street and Richmond train stations. 

Taxi & Rideshare

Taxi

You can get taxis from the Rod Laver Arena Taxi Rank next to The Oval on Olympic Boulevard, just 200m from CENTREPIECE. 

Rideshare

CENTREPIECE have dedicated drop-off areas for cars, coaches and rideshares via Entrance A (Batman Avenue) or Entrance D (Olympic Boulevard).  

Uber pick-up and drop-off points are also located next to The Oval on Olympic Boulevard, just 200m from CENTREPIECE.

Water Taxi

Melbourne Water Taxis

Melbourne Water Taxis operate on the Yarra River seven days per week and deliver guests to a docking platform opposite Rod Laver Arena. Water taxis need to be pre-booked and can accommodate parties of up to 12 people.

Melbourne River Cruises can provide you with the ultimate experience for groups of up to 150 people when attending events at Melbourne & Olympic Parks.

Cycle

Bicycle Parking

CENTREPIECE is accessible by bike, with dedicated bike lanes on Olympic Boulevard and bike paths through the Royal Botanic Gardens, Yarra Park and Birrarung Marr.  

Cyclists can park on-site if they provide their own locks and remain mindful that Melbourne & Olympic Parks is not responsible for any loss or damage to bicycles secured on site.
