St Andrews Beach Brewery comes to Melbourne & Olympic Parks

Beloved Mornington Peninsula institution St Andrews Beach Brewery will have a second home in the heart of the city, establishing itself as a new food and beverage destination at Melbourne & Olympic Parks (M&OP).

Opening in winter 2023, the indoor-outdoor space will be located at CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park, and extend into Garden Square, creating an idyllic pre or post-event opportunity to indulge in good food and beverage in the heart of Melbourne’s sports and entertainment precinct.

Known for their locally made brews and relaxed atmosphere, the new venue marks the first-time co-founders Jane and Andrew Purchase will take their craft outside their popular Fingal address.

That venue, which was formally a racetrack, spans 92 acres and has become part of the fabric of the peninsula, welcoming locals and tourists alike since 2017.

And with a focus on sustainability, including their solar-powered brewery and a program that donates spent grain to local farms for cattle feed, the boutique makers are the perfect addition to M&OP, whose ethos is to support local businesses and champion sustainable practices while delivering world-class experiences.

The Purchases said their foray into Melbourne’s CBD was the next step in their vision for the business.

“We’re so excited to expand our offering into the heart of Melbourne – amongst the city’s most well-known venues, Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, John Cain Arena, AAMI Park, Kia Arena – and its newest addition, CENTREPIECE,” they said.

“This will be a venue for everyone to enjoy, relax and take in the atmosphere of our great city.”

John Harnden AM, CEO of Melbourne and Olympic Parks, said the venue was an exciting addition to the precinct.

“The partnership will deliver a unique experience for guests and reflects M&OP’s commitment to Victorian businesses and providing exceptional hospitality experiences at the precinct,” Mr Harnden said.

The all-ages venue promises extended opening hours Monday to Sunday and a Victorian-first menu highlighting local producers, and it’s all within walking distance of Melbourne’s CBD, Fitzroy Gardens and Richmond.
